On June 30, 2025, Secretary General Shi Zhongjun of the ASEAN-China Centre (ACC) met with Permanent Secretary Dr. Supachai Pathumnakul of Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation of Thailand in Bangkok.
Both sides reviewed the cooperation achievements between China and ASEAN, as well as between China and Thailand, in the fields of higher education and scientific innovation. Leveraging the current high-level development of China-Thailand relations, they agreed to deepen cooperation in emerging areas such as artificial intelligence and innovation, and green development. The two sides will jointly organize the ASEAN-China Economic Forum 2025: Climate Investment and Green Innovation in Bangkok in the coming August, which will surely inject new vitality into Sino-Thai friendship and the ASEAN China Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
