On 22 June 2025, Secretary General Shi Zhongjun of the ASEAN-China Centre (ACC) led the delegation of agricultural related agencies from China to the Lao PDR and met with H.E. Chinese Ambassador Fang Hong to Laos in Vientiane. The two sides exchanged views on making common efforts in enhancing Laos-China relations as well as cooperation in agriculture and education between China and Laos. Secretary General Shi underlined that the ACC stands ready to play a more active role in deepening practical cooperation and people-to-people connectivity under the framework of 2025 ASEAN-China Year of People-to-people Exchanges. Ambassador Fang affirmed the Embassy’s sustained support to the ACC’s future endeavors.
